I've run across a few threads with guys calculating boat speed using drive gear ratios, Prop pitch and standard slip numbers, and RPM. Is this possible without taking into account the weight and size of the boat. Is this where the slip becomes more of a factor?

Actually slip is another word for weight size and drag and all the varibles that keeps a boat and prop from 100% effecincy...there that should get things going...;)
