I am currently running a Suzuki stainless 14 1/4 x 24 and I hit 54 mph at 5000 to 5100 rpms today in rough water at 3800 ft above sea level. I am thinking of dropping to a 23 pitch hi five prop for my speed prop, as I can get a good deal on one and looking for a 21 pitch for my pulling prop.

I am curious to see what other users have on their boats and what they think of my prop choices. Anyone using a hi-five on their dt225's?

If you're looking strickly at speed then the less blades work better. More blades (5) will certainly help the boat in handleing and the ability to launch out of the water but it will never reach the same top speed as a similar pitched three blade SS prop.

Well I took her back out today and hit 60mph at 5400 rpms. Looks like I am pretty good with the prop I have for a top end prop.
