Re: raker prop

from what i understand a "raker" prop has good cupping ( like a spoon) and generates bow lift as well thus getting more boat out of the water. Raker props like to be run on the surface for best performance. try it out and you will see the difference.

Re: raker prop

Cleaver props are known as stern lifters. Used with lots of positive trim to hold the bow up they can effectively lift the whole boat up and reduce drag. However they are a surface braeking prop, therefore they aren't at their best when run on a typical stern drive.

Raker is a prop which has a very large rake angle to the blade.

Cupping a prop can change the pitch or the rake of a prop depening when the cup is added. Adding a cup to the trailing edge of the blade adds pitch, adding a cup to the blade tip increases the rake angle.
