Prop for18' starcraft Mariner w/ 40HP

Trying to find someone who has played around with different props on a mariner. I just bought a new prop and went with a 16 pitchavrom suzuki dealer's recommendation, but when i received it realized I've been running with a 10 pitch. The last number couldnt be read, and i didn't have enough experience to know what it was by site. Side by side, its obviously a 10.

Now I'm worried about not being able to get out of the hole, and thinking of sending it back. Anyone have a similar set up and advice?
