What size prop would you recommend for a 2005 Party Barge 24' 60 hp Mercury Bigfoot motor? I max out at about 4100 rpm's right now with what I have an wouldn't mind going a little faster if possible. I damaged it while scalloping this weekend and now there is a very light shimmy in the motor. The prop looks like it hit a oyster bed or rock. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

First thing you need to know is what your engines WOT rpm range is, 5500 - 6000. Next you need to know if your tachometer is accurate. Then you can select a prop that allows the engine to run in the 5500 - 6000 range at full throttle.
