I am looking to purchase a new prop for my boat. I have a 2003 Searay with the 4.3L mercruiser alpha 1 drive. its a 18.5 foot boat with 190hp. I currently have the manufacturers prop on there, part number 832834a45 (14x23), which comes with the boat. The smaller 3.0 comes with a 14.5x19. the boat planes quick pulls skiers and runs a good 50mph. i am curious if there is a prop out there where I could possible get more speed but not lose the ability to pull up a skier or any of my other performance. if its best to stick with what the manufacturer suggests then i will.
