Just bought a 1976 aristocraft nineteen for next to nothing because it wasn't running. It has a Mercruiser 120, got it running and have been working on fixing little things all over the boat now. We did take it out once on Lake Erie a couple weeks ago and it ran good. It currently has a 15 1/2" prop with a 19" pitch prop. It popped right up onto plane at about 18 mph (gps speed). Got her up to 29 mph at one point but never got to WOT because Erie can is a nasty lake some days. My question is does this sound like the OEM prop or should I be looking for something else, I WILL be replacing the prop soon and can't afford to buy more than the right one

Will need to go for a wot run as usually loaded on flat calm water cond and report achieved max wot rpm, without those numbers whichever prop you choose will be a wild guess. If don't count with a tach, will need to buy one.

Happy Boating
