Hey guys, hope one of you can help me with something. I am running a 26 foot caulkins bartender here on the Oregon coast. It's kinda underpowered with a mercury 4 stroke efi, but it runs good and gets me around for nearshore and bay fishing. It's extremely efficient. I have the stock 10.75 x12 three blade on it and I feel the rpm's get way too high without noticeable gains in speed from about halfway to top throttle. I am trying to decide between a black max or vengeance 3 blade 11 5/8 x 10 1/2 or a spitfire 4 blade 10.6 x12. Any opinions?

I'm mostly aiming for midrange and good bite in rough water without having to crank the throttle to max to fight large swells.

Welcome to Iboats,

Firstly need to tach current factory delivered prop as usually loaded to know max wot rpm achieved, From there can go for a prop maximization to get all the ponies out of that OB.

Happy Boating
