89 bass tracker 1800fs with 115 mariner heelllppp!!!!!

89 bass tracker 1800fs with 89 115 mariner with 20 pitch prop. Question is it only running 43 on gps at 5000rpm what is everybody else running

What's the max wot rpm range for that OB, 5 K seems low...Weight is something to consider, the more the less rpm OB will achieve. A less prop pitch will make the trick to pull wot revs up as usually loaded.

Max speed works out to 47 which would be a screw in wood where there would be no slippage like there is running a screw in water.
Prop slip therefore works out to 9%
Doubt you will do better than that since a single digit slip on stock rigs is right up there with baseball and apple pie. Grin
