My dock is very shallow at low tide, and inboard props sit in mud. I'm considering propeller guards for protection. Any wisdom you can share with me?

Ayuh,... Welcome Aboard,..... Any prop guards I've seen are more of a weed catcher than anything,......

If the water is quiet how about just rig some sort of support or sling to hold the boat up enough to clear.Wouldn't have to be both ends
just the prop end.

Prop Guard beeing plastic breaks if hitting an underwater object at speed, will need to go one less in pitch, if can find a metal prop guard much better. What about just a lower skeg protector ?

You see all kinds of boats in a quiet harbor just laying on the mud at low tide both inboard and outboard.Of course they are designed for this.
But it seems you could create a support of some kind.
