I have a Lowe ss230 2013 model with 2013 merc 115 4 stroke, no lifting strakes two toon, I am having a heck of a time finding right prop, top speed so far is 18-20 with 4 blade 13 1/4 x 15 but only turns 5000 rpms
Don't assume because it is a young boat that it is setup right.Check the throttle operation that it opens all the way.
If there is no ventilation problems you may be alb;e to raise the motor one hole at a time.
Is the speed with a light load? You need 6000 rpm an 11 might do that for you
If that's a manual trim engine, need to trim engine for boat to ride parallel to water level once on plane, usually 2-3 hole down and provided that weight is evenly distributed on deck. Check if with water splashes back or over transom at speed.
Top of the page you said a 15" 4 blade later a 15" 3 blade. Are all these props same brand same model?
I would say you really need a 4 blade, perhaps a pontoon specific prop.
The motor needs to make 6000 wot rpm.I don't think you can get there with a prop.I think the motor has some sort of issue.
Research of actual tests of 115 hp motors similar gear ratio similar size boats indicates an 11" or 13" pitch should work.
Results are low to mid 20s at "About" 5900-6000.
Just because your 13" blewout doesn't mean a 13 is wrong just the prop was wrong.
