Just raised the motor 1.5 to 1.75 inches, it was set at the lowest position (holes). The exhaust was very close to the water line and rode lower than the previous F40. Photos show new position. Red line is the approx water line when sitting with medium load.
Does this position look correct?

Looks fine to me. The question now will be how it handles under power, especially at higher throttle settings. If it cavitates too easily in a turn, you may have to lower it down some. If not, you're good to go as I see it.

New motor position looks good to me as well.

BTW: See your bottom picture. Lower the red line to bottom of keel (bottom of boat). Red line horizontal across to motor's cavitation plate.

Picture at: http://www.leeroysramblings.com/OB%2...n%20height.gif

Thus, looks same within above URL (drill down) as well...

Not too sure if lower 1 bolt hole will create dramatic change in behavior. Only test run will tell....
