So I think I finally got the issue with my motor blowing out adapter plate seals behind me, now I am dealing with the prop. I've uploaded a picture of where the motor is sitting now and thats as low as it will go. Its a force 50 turning a solas amita 11.6x11 3 blade prop at 5200 RPM and I can get about 18MPH on GPS with me and my wife.
The issue is if I have any weight at all at the front of the boat the prop will blow out and rev up to 5600 rpm and drop of speed. I have to damn near stop the boat before it will grab again. I have marked the prop and hub and nut to see if it was slipping but its not. So where do I go from here. I was trying to find a cheap 4 blade prop around 12.5 inches but the biggest I can find is an 11 inch.
What about throwing a cheap set of hydro foils on there? Not worried about speed just want to be able to have my kids sit up front when they want.
