Hull damage, what can i do.

Hi there guys. Recently my pontoon boat was having a leak. When we pulled the boat up, you can see the damage below. I am actually quite new in boating so was wondering if anyone could provide a 2nd opinion on whether this can actually still be fixed.

Looks like salt water use, questionable antifouling and no proper epoxy primer???
Star by removing ALL bottom paint, then damage may be assessed.
Repairable, yes but probably not cheap.

The white part is the damaged part. I have brought it to a welder and he said it can't be welded anymore. He said it's too thin to weld and the best option is to change it.

There isn't anyhitng left to repair, that is pretty ate up.

As mentioned, try getting all the corrosion off and see whas is there btu I don'tr htink there will be anything left to weld to.

I do all the repair work at Benninton and I think I would send you on your way, if ti could be fixxed it would take too long and look really bad when done.

Get it cleaned up, it may not be as bad as looks.

A good reputable shop should be able to fix it. All though they are way to big shrink it down so I can see it.

How old is this boat? Have you priced out new pontoons to replace it with. ? What's the boat sitting on? I hope it's not a trailer. How about some picture's of the rest of the boat. What's the condition of the motor.?
