When I got new seats for my old boat I simply measured the space within the fence where the pieces had to fit. I selected pieces that would either fit individually or as a grouping. The only issue I recall is that the inside corners of my fences had fairly large radius turns while the replacement seats had sharper, small radius corners. That kept me from sliding some pieces all the way back against the fence.
