I was looking online at purchasing a pontoon fire pit. Was wondering peoples thoughts. I was looking at the table top version it basically takes place of one of my tables. I've grilled all the time on my pontoon with no problem just have to use some common sense. http://www.pontoonfirepit.com/

I would ask for a copy of the USCG and NMMA approvals.

For me, if the water and wind were calm, the temperature was between 60 and 70, the gas bottle was full, I was with someone I cared about, it was twilight, I didn't need that space for anything else, and it didn't cost too much I'd like to have it. Unfortunately, I don't expect all those stars to line up for me any time this century.

Website says they are US Coast Guard and NMMA approved. A friend of ours has the cooler table style pit and the table size fire pit on their 28 foot boat. I wouldn't use them in a pontoon with an enclosure but is nice while sitting at the dock on a cool night. I prefer my Mr. Buddy heater, but it sure doesn't look as nice.
