14ft Aqua Max which Engine should I install

I have a family of 5 and some friends so bought an inflatable 14ft with 7 person capacity. I was wondering what capacity of outboard motor should I hookup so that we can have some water fun?

Any advice on the outboard motors capacity and brand?

Welcome to Iboats,

That size usually handles min 30 max 40 HP to perform well. Check transom tech plate and look for max permited HP engine. Check if needs a short or long shaft engine. See if possible to find a new 2 stroke engine as oposed to same 4 strokes which weights 10-12 Kg more.

If wanting best overall water performance while heavily loaded must top inflate all sib chambers including keel to its factory working parameters, that's with a pressure gauge, thumb depress monitoring is no bueno and non accurate.

Thank you, ended up getting a 25HP Yamaha 2stroke but its a long shaft

With a long shaft will have huge back or even over transom water splashes issues. Install a 5" engine mount on transom is your fastest solution.
