best way to catch big air trubing ?

we use a wake tower so far and catching decent air but i have to find wakes to do it , i looked on you tube and found some guys blastin high up , i'm thinkin they are using short rope with wake tower , any thought or exp. ? shoot reply or text , were packed up and headin to lake for the weekend

Don't use the tower as it puts too much strain on it and it can break. All wakeboard boat towers come with that warning on them for a reason. Tow off the transom or a ski plyon. If you want big air, load the boat with 1,800lbs of ballast and learn to throw double ups. Although you might need a bigger boat...say something like a Nautique should do the trick!

I avoid wakes and waves beacuse I hear it messes up your transom. Isint it true?
