Found a 2010 achilles that is need of repairs. It does not leak but the seems are coming apart in a few places. Is this one for the pros or a DIY REPAIR.

Also this boat has been left out in the sun for its entire life and is faded. How many years do you think i can get out of this boat. I will store it rolled up in my garage and used a couple of times a month

That doesn't look bad to me. A couple of patches with the right adhesive with proper prepping should work well. As for the finish I would think some good cleaning then protectant would have it looking a lot better. Is that PVC of Hapalon? There are cleaners and protectant for both fabrics. I believe they even make paint for inflatables so you could even go that route if you wanted. For the tools, patches and adhesives go to nrs.com I believe it is, or just google nrs. They make and sell the best stuff for white water rafting and they have good videos and info for repairing. I assume your getting this for a very good price? You'll probably get Sea Rider adding some good info for you soon so stay tuned.

If the fabric being PVC or Hypalon is not dried, hardened, cracked just bit faded and flexible, as Alan said, check Iboats, NRS, West Maine, Defender for fabric restorers for both. When finished apply a generous coat of Space Protectant 303. Should look mint again.

Well guys keep your fingers crossed for me. I negotiated a price for the motor, boat, and trailer for 1200 bucks. It's in Maryland which is 2000 miles from my house but only 80 miles from my brother so he is going to pick it up. And then figure out how to ship it to me. The trailer I told my brother to keep and see if he can sell it up there.

Special thanks to my brother for driving 5 hours round trip and boxing up my dream today. It has been picked up and should be here in Houston in 2 weeks. weeks. He left the trailer because my brother did not have a hitch on his van but for 1200 bucks i think i got a once in a lifetime deal on a top of line achilles and 2 stroke motor. Lets hope the delivery gods take care of my baby on her journey to me. Big brother I owe you one big time.

Congrats, hope it's everything you expect it to be. By the way I live near Canyon Lake, not to far from San Antonio. We get a lot of people from Houston coming here to vacation because we're in the hill country and not to far away. 54 (1).JPG

Engine looks really good. She has never seen salt before. But she is going to have to wait because my Achilles needs a bath first.

Sounds like you got a steal, especially with the 15hp two stroke. What model Achilles is this? I have the SPD-365 which is 12'2". Yours looks like the model they advertised for swift water rescue.
