A friend of mine bought this Rib/Trailer combo very cheap, has front wheel driving position, lacks seat and engine, is planing a complete restoration. This UK Rib should be at least 30 years old which means Hypalon fabric is already undergoing Waterloo time due to evidence of fabric delamination as seen in some upper tube parts. A candidate to benefit when applying rubber compounds that seals tube's interior or keep inflating all tubes constantly.
Will need to re glue complete rubber bumper and install a new Telflex steering mechanism as well.
Was planing buying a second hand 4 stroke heavy 40 HP OB, out of his mind, that 3.45 Mt Rib is only rated for max 30 HP. For tender use a Tohatsu 9.8 will suit him good or if wanting more speed, water performance, fun included at open waters a 18 HP will be more than ideal if boating light to medium light. A 18 should over rev if solo boating with 9 pitch standard factory delivered prop when at wot. Will see its progression restoration as this nice Brit Rib is parked next to my Asian Rib.
