Hello party people,

I'm headed up to the 1000 Islands next week. I'll be coming up from Oswego, stopping in Kingston for a night or two, then on downstream for a few days. This will be my first long trip with my mighty vessel, and I'm wondering where the good (read: Cheap) fuel docks are. Preferably non-ethanol. I'm thinking Clayton or Cape Vincent maybe? I'm assuming gas is cheaper on the US side, but I've been wrong before...

Thanks!

EDIT: I'm in a 29' Cruisers,

is this some sort of taboo question? I've gotten zero replies in two different forums.

I am not sure about Cape Vincent but Typical fuel (Gas) cost in Clayton area seems around $4.45 to $4.80 per gallon last week... If you make to Alexandria Bay Vans had non-ethanol gas with91 octan for $4.49....

Going to Canada? Be sure to read up on border crossings. What you need, who to call etc. Customs can be very picky.

There's gas behind Round Island at Northern Marine and Spicer Bay. Clayton Marina, R.J. Marine & French Creek Marina (Clayton). Gas at Chalk's Marina in Fishers Landing. Gas at Keewaydin State Park (Alex Bay). Bonnie Castle Marina (A-Bay). Gas in Thousand Island Park. I wouldn't call any of those spots "cheap". Haven't visited any of them in awhile, but did see Chalk's was hovering around a buck higher than land prices this spring. I would guess that's about par for the course...
