We will be spending 3 days over July 4th in Colchester VT. I know there is a free launch 25 min south at the lower end of Shelburne Bay. But in my rig it's a long way by water back to Burton Island.
But I'd like to also do some fishing around Burton Island and show some friends the Island. But the launch at Kill Kare state park opens at 9am and only has like 10-15 trailer parking spaces. I'd like to avoid launching there on a holiday weekend anyway
Anyone know of a pay for marina launch or state launch near the Burton Island area. Champlain can kick up pretty fast and if I have 3 or 4 people in my 15 foot boat I'd like to launch close by if possible.
I did a search and found this launch on st albans bay. Anyone now if this is open to non residents and will it be swamped on the 4th?
