Anyone been up there in northern Saskatchewan? Is it a good lake to boat and fish?

A little late with this, but yes, I get to Lac la Ronge often. I live in Saskatoon, Southern Sask, my Son lives in Air Ronge, pretty much right on the lake, two block from boat launch. It is an amazing lake, need a good map, GPS, and watch the weather (wind) and the rocks and reefs. Fishing in Hunter Bay is great, its 30 miles across the lake through islands and open water, thus good map/GPS. Nemebian Lake is just down the road, another awesome northern lake, a little less intimidating, but still need map and be cautious of rock, again fishing is great. Plenty of lakes up there to choose from.

Further to my last response, Just returned from a week up there, spent time on both mentioned lakes, plenty of pike, walleye, and some decent deep water lake trout, up to 15lbs, hope to make it up there at least 2 more times this year, before the water gets hard... brrrr....
