I don't really want to pay $1,000 per season to a club or marina just for a mooring spot on Lake Clarke (Susquehanna near York, PA) and I don't want to trailer my boat every time I want to go boating. Could I anchor my 26' sailboat unattended long term anywhere on the lake? Is there a public mooring area where I could install my mooring buoy? Do I need a permit? Where do I get a permit?
