I'm located in Wichita, KS, and interested in exploring some OK lakes. We have a 23' Monterrey bowrider, and spend our time floating, tubing, and kneeboarding with three kids. Typical KS lake is in Winfield, a small city lake that is reasonably clean, not super busy, and about 25' deep. Hoping to find some good options within about 2 hours, we love Lake of the Ozarks but it's a solid 4.5 hour drive. I've heard mixed reviews of Kaw, which is only a little more than an hour from home, and also heard that Skiatook is nice, which is just over 2 hours. I'd like to find a lake that is reasonably clean, decent depth without a lot of stumps, and not crazy busy. Any feedback would be appreciated!
