So, a week long trip for Independence Day (29th-6th), We headed up to Horsetooth Res. in Fort Collins, CO (we live 2 hours South in Colorado Springs). Had waterside camping spots and was able to beach the boat for the entire week...place a piece of carpet against the shore and let the bow rest on that...

Anyway, I'm getting off point!

We were out taking some of my wife's friend's kids (and ours, they're school mates) and low-and-behold in the middle of the lake was a 4-5 year old Buck swimming across the lake. The lake is 6 miles long, but at the point it was crossing was about 1/4 mile...

I have never seen such a thing, We stopped and waved off other boats as his head and antlers were all we could see! He never looked stressed nor tired, just resolute in getting from one side to the other.

Nice to see such a pretty animal get across unmolested that's to somebody as thoughtful as you.
