I recently bought one and have been searching for information for about an hour and came up with little. I do not know the year but believe the serial number is V 14691 I am interested in the weight of it and the speed that it went when new with a 50 hp on it.

I did a little checking and the HIN does not look to be correct or at lease not registered. I know in my area you can weigh the boat, trailer and truck then come back with just the truck and trailer. From there is just math. There is a formula for speed, the pitch of the prop and the RPMs should give you a speed. You have to factor in prop slip and such.

Some stuff HERE, and maybe the V152 would be kinda' close. Thunder Craft has been around a while, so there may not be a proper HIN on it. If there is, it should be stamped into the transom.

Ya' got photos of the boat?

I have 2 images of that boat. I will try and get more next time I go to work on it. Thanks that one looks like it might be pretty close. Good point of reference. On the plate (forget the name of it) there are two numbers that might be the HIN but the plate is scratched to hell. Numbers are 239555 and V14691. I have not had much luck finding information about this boat. I did figure out it is either rated for 50 or 60 hp. I think it is 50 hp but it is hard to see on that plate.
