Hi all! Just picked up a boat to replace my tried and true Silverline/Merc Outboard. This boat is a 1 owner and in reasonably good condition. Just a little bit of dock rash for the most part. Getting detailed and serviced by a friends mechanic as i don't have time right now being i own a business and am covered up with work. Just a few questions:

#1. What was different about the "Anniversary Edition"??
#2. What is this boats top speed assuming properly propped. (has factory prop and brand new replacement with it.)
#3. Shouldn't it have an hour meter somewhere??
#4 and probably the most important. All the custom shops around here are out till October or later for any new work. Anywhere to get OEM canvas for this boat? Anyone got pics of the factory cockpit cover? Has anyone put a strapless bimini on theirs?? Thanks all and hope to learn something about Chaparral boats!!

No Title

I just came across almost the same boat, but in blue trim, that I hope to purchase next week. It is not the anniversary edition and the seating layout is different, with the one I am looking at having the back-to-back seating. I cannot believe that this boat is 20 years old. I have been looking for a while for a good deal on a nice starter boat, and I have seen much newer boats that cannot compare to the condition this one is in. The engine literally looks brand new, spotless. It has all the original interior and the covers for the bow and cockpit. I do not have any photos of the boat with the covers on, but I am posting a few pics of it so you can compare it to yours. Have you had yours in the water? If so, how does it ride and handle?

The one I am looking at is owned by a 76 year old gentleman and I am waiting for his son to get back from a holiday trip to put it in the water. The gentleman guarantees that I will not find a thing wrong with the boat. If it lives up to its looks, I am sure he is telling the truth.

I have a 94 Signature Chaparral that I really love. They really make a solid boat. I think the craftsmanship and quality is easily on par with Sea Ray.
