walk through windshield hinge

I have a 1990 searay sun dancer ....im looking into making the center section of the wind shield swing open. Ive looked all over in getting hinges for this but the only hinges i can find are regular piano hinges. I would rather get the hinges that most walk through boats have. They hold out water better. Anybody know where i can get these types of hinges?? and what are they called??

Those hinges are usually part of the window frame extrusions,....

If you are not able to do this yourself, perhaps you have a good quality metal fabricator in your area. A stainless steel hinge with a SS cover should do the trick. I made one for my 18' starcraft alum boat many years back and it worked and looked fine.

there is a company that makes lots of window frame parts for boats, RVs, etc. You'll still need to fab stuff up, but they're a good start.
