After a lot of looking (about 28 boats) I finally found a nice inexpensive starter boat. The couple I bought it from were a pleasure, and I'm very happy. It's a 97 Rinker captiva 182 br with a 4.3. Lake kept for the last 7 seasons. It's dirty, but once I clean it up and tune it up I think I'll be good to go! Only paid 4700 with a roller trailer!

Sounds like a great boat! I agree with tpenfirld, post some pics.

iboats will be a great resource for you if you find anything you're not sure about or need something for the boat.

Rinker also has an Owner's Forum you may want to check out/join as well:

I owned a Rinker once. One thing about them, they have always had a very good layout with very little wasted space. Be very careful with the roller trailer. Have a friend that on his first time at the ramp, dropped the boat on the concrete. Dave-R
