I would be checking it over with a fine tooth comb, it still has snow in it so chances are it hasn't been looked after very well and may need a floor and transom. Plus that trailer tongue looks real rusty.

My guess would be a early 70's 16' Jupiter.

So $1,800 for 90's 50 hp w/ TnT, That sounds a little steep to me.

If it a 100% ready to go and no soft floors, running motor it might not be a bad deal.

Early-70's Holiday. She is very photogenic! :photo:

The paint looks to be in excellent shape for it's age...I bet a buff and some touch-ups are all she needs.

but don't be fooled.

Examine that splashwell for cracks.

Crawl under the splashwell and inspect the kneebrace for cracks.

when under the splashwell, there will be an opening in the deck; you can reach under and feel the condition of the foam board...if it's wet/soggy, you'll be pulling-up the deck & replacing.

Walk around the inside feeling for soft-spots and listen for crackling...dryrotted plywood.

From the outside, check where the rib-ends would be for distortion in the hull-skin...bent rivet heads are a dead give-away for flex and high-probability of hull cracking. Also check the spray-rail for damage and/or cracking.

spray-rail damage (causes: bad trailer setup...they also crack from no support from deck & side-board)

Rib-end cracks (causes: lack of support at outer-chine...designers relied on the structural integrity of deck wood & pop-rivets)

ugh...and I just noticed roller-bunks. Check around each & every roller to see if it has distorted the hull skin. These roller bunks can also lead to stress cracks.

The Hull and trailer may be worth the $1200.00 but I don't think that 50hp is worth an extra $1800.00
I've had rollers under my Lund and now my Alumacraft, never experienced any problems with them.

Also, may I ask why this posting was moved? If it wasn't for the Redirect I most likely would have never seen it.

Here's one example from another Mob member's experience with rollers:
roller damage
fatigue cracks

The paint is why I said Jupiter. If it is original paint.

32 roller trailer for my 21'er. No damage in 43 years of being a trailer queen.

I think the answer is on the sticker at the helm.

And maybe any state paperwork.

They made 16' Holidays from '73 to 79. Different hull color.

GA - You take all the fun out of it. Time will tell.

Unless the sticker says "This is not a Starcraft boat model placard. Have a nice day! :)"

I didn't see any evidence of a HIN on the stern and as clean as she looks, that has to be the SC sticker. As you said, 64 - Time will tell.

BTW - I'm going with Jupiter.

That's nice but I can also show you pictures of both of the boats in my signature that are both still on roller trailer today. So let's see the Lund is 31 years old and the Alumacraft is 27 years old. Then again I've seen pictures of hulls damaged by sitting on weak or Ill fitted bunks too.

At this point, this topic is about what model boat this is. One that hasn't even be seen for a possible purchase yet.

Lets save the bunks vs rollers debate until it's actually relevant

For the pre-purchase inspection, above, around and near rollers is a good place to look for possible damage. As are areas sitting on bunks that have seen saltwater that might have caused hidden corrosion.
