On my gas tank the nut that secures the pick up port broke in three places. I've been looking all over for a replacement with no luck. It looks like a 13/16 flat jam nut. If I'm unable to find a replacement, could I use RTV?
Thank,
Tom

I was only going to put rtv around the port where the nut would go. But if you think it's a bad idea then I'll look harder for a nut.
Thanks again,
Tom

Have you tried the plumbing dept in any of the home improvement stores. How about the local hardware stores. And how about just installing a new dip tube which is probably available right here on iboats.
