I own a 1978 Glastron Carlson CVS 16SS and I am looking to purchase a new roller trailer for it? I have no documents for the but I wonder if anyone out there has the same boat with documents and therefore perhaps you could let me know the weight of my boat. I would be so grateful if anyone could answer me this question. Many thanks Richard

I'd bet your 1978 Glastron no longer matches factory specs @weight.

Besides your trailer needs to be setup to carry it's as used weight, including the motor, fuel and all stowed gear. Got a recycling center that can weigh loads or a truck depot close?

I can take my boats/trailers across the scales at my nearest recycler as long as their isn't a line, free. Take the boat, trailer et al across, then drop the boat off the trailer, in the grass, at a dock, in the yard on some car tires (w/ out rims) and take the trailer across. The difference is your boat's weight full outfitted.

BTW: iboats only shows a CVX 16SS for 1978 and lists it as 1350lbs dry

Classic Glastron also only lists a CVX 16SS for 1978
