Pitting on aluminum

I noticed some small pitting on my aluminum boat, not bad and it can be removed by scratching it with a finger nail. Since I haven't noticed before, I'm assuming it is just starting to pit.

I have zinc plates on my outboards and was told that was all I needed to keep the aluminum on the boat from corroding.

Any ideas what I can do to stop it while it is small? What treatment can I give the boat as a preventative?

Crazy Charlie is right. Your boat needs zincs even if you trailer your boat. If you do trailer it helps if you rinse the boat with fresh water.
