When did they start to welding boats?

I am trying to find out if a 87 duracraft aluminum boat & I Was curious when they started to all weld boats over riverted boats?

Welcome to iboats.

I believe some were welded in the 50's.
I know some were welded in the 60's.

Don't know about duracraft boats.
