So last time out the strap I had my Bimini tied up with let go and it turned into a parachute on the freeway. Ripped out allot of the stitching and lost the center bow. Friend who has an upholstery shop sowed it back up for me. Heading to the local metal shop to get some tube. Looking for ideas on how to go about bending it. Leaning towards using a conduit bender.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Neil

Find a canvas shop to bend it. Even then, when you get it all done, the chance of it actually fitting well again is going to be a crap shoot. In addition to the ends being bent, you need a bow in the horizontal section so that water doesn't pool. That's why a tubing bender won't work.

It should not cost that much to have one made at a canvass shop, that way you know it fits right..

My top was one of the flat ones and i took a conduit bender and added a 6 inch arch. It is round tubing.
