What year and model Javelin

I have some photos attached of this Javelin. I haven't seen the boat in person, I am told the BIA rating is 150hp. It has a blown 175 fast strike, that had it running 67 mph. I have a 94 200 merc 2.5 xri efi that is on a 20' Astro. Will the Javelin handle it, the 200 merc only weighs about 20 lbs more than the 175.

I had a javlin just like that, metal flake blue, was rated for 125 hp, it had a 145 evenrude on it open it up and it would scare you. 200hp is way to much for that boat.paid 3,200 for it had a heck of a time selling it

Yeah, I was think more along the lines of a

"Hey, ya'll watch this....."

Perhaps a

"I'd like to do something careless and reckless w/ a boat, any recommendations of how to do it?"

Or even a

"I'd like to go out w/ a horrific crash, maybe some unintended flight (when I'm thrown from the boat) and a really big B-A-N-G finish..... Any suggestions of how to go about it?"

BTW - OP / I'm not trying to be a bozo at all. I not bashful about saying I'm not a fan of bass boats, but they're not necessarily inherently dangerous either. The hulls are designed to ride way on top of the water and it can catch ya' off guard if you're not careful.

Well I was just asking opinions.Still haven't found out the actual numbers. Just wanted to get the boat for 800$ take the merc off the Astro so I can completely refurbish it. Put it on the Javelin and give 'er a whirl. P.S. I'll have a Go-Pro on so you can see me eat up my dad's 08 tr20xhp w250proxs (80 mph from the dealer's showroom- no add-on's- she'll blister your eyes). I'll put a go-pro on his just in case I become famous on You Tube LOL I'll make sure you all get an autograph
