I bought a 2004 Trophy Pro (2302 wa) and noticed the hydraulic hose attached to the steering cylinder was being kinked so bad it developed a leak(from trimming so high for travel)...I wanted to replace the set of hoses, but I can't snake the old ones out from between the hull and the interior wall...so I went to a trucking supply that makes and repairs hoses and he gave me a double barbed fitting and said it should do the job. how many psi does these hoses carry ? it has a vent/filler cap at the steering wheel and inside there's just 2 small outfits that the hoses connect to while the other end hooks to the cylinders at the engine... I have no marina anywhere near me and want this fix to last. any help here guys ? with that fitting work, or do I drive 130 miles to a repair facility...needless to say, i'd kind of like to steer the boat once i'm out on lake Michigan...thanks for any input.
