I have been reading a lot of posts on different websites regarding Edgewater's issues with their fuel tanks and the need to replace them because of fuel leaking. Does anyone have any experience with this? Would like to know who else has had issues with their fuel tanks and how has the company responded. Seems that there is more than a handful of Edgewater boat owners being affected by this issue. Is there a recall ? Should the Coast Guard know about it as it is a Hazard issue that is a time bomb? Is it a defect of the tank or the way it was installed? Edgewater is supposed to be a top tier boat manufacturer with them backing up their product but my perception of their products and company is starting to change. Would love to start a discussion on the topic.

Welcome to iboats.

Feel free to report your concerns to the USCG who maintains a Recall Data Base here http://www.uscgboating.org/recalls/search.aspx

Do you own an Edgewater?

What is the age of the fuel tank? What is it constructed of?

Have you contacted the manufacturer? They have a Customer Service number: Christine Washington
Title: Customer Service Manager
Email: Christine@ewboats.com
Phone: 386-426-5457 x4178

The biggest fuel tank issue to plague many boat owners was the E-10 fuels were not getting along with fiberglass tanks and the fiberglass started to break down.

Just for your information........ ALL BOATS are time bombs if not properly maintained, serviced and cared for. Lines deteriorate, hulls crack, wood rots, gelcoat fades, blisters, engines need love too. How long have you had your boat?
