It's kind of dumbfounding when people ask for advice and then ignore the good advice given to them because it's not what they want to hear.

Removing the bench seat from a boat is a real bad idea, and using camp chairs in a boat is another bad idea.

If space is an issue, just mount the camp chairs to the outside of the hull so that they act like wings. That has the bonus effect of saving space inside the boat!

Can you legally use camp chairs? Yes. Should you? Maybe, maybe not, but that's a decision you have to make. The benches are most likely structural. Will the boat be dangerous if you take 'em out? Maybe, maybe not, but they ARE structural if attached to the sides. As to what constitutes good advice, those offering it usually think so. Is it? Maybe, maybe not ... ;)

everyone knows the best seat is empty kitty litter buckets.

kidding.

3 scenarios with using campsite chairs. 1) Driver/Passengers flips backwards after boat is kicked in drive and throttled 2)Driver/Passengers Flip over side during a turn |even a slight turn, those chairs dont distribute weight at all| 3)Driver/Passengers all fall through seats from contact bumpy ride
