I have a '97 Sea Ray 185 Bowrider. On the front of the hull, port side, down by the bow eye is what looks like a small silver vent cap of some kind. Could it be the fuel vent? I can not find anything that shows it in any literature. I can upload pictures this weekend if that would help. Any help appreciated.

Welcome, SeaRay. It could be anything. I doubt a fuel vent is by the bow eye, too much of a chance getting water in the tank. Do you have an anchor locker above the "vent"? My guess is an anchor locker drain. Can you snap a pic?

yep ^^^ I'll bet GA's nailed it.... Even if not an anchor locker, I'd bet at least 1 storage bin in the bow has a drain............

Didn't even think of an anchor locker drain. Thank you for solving this mystery for me. Have a great day.

Drains for compartments are not usually metal. Could be the vent for a water tank or a holding tank but maybe not likely on a 18' bow rider I guess
