Our K9 search and rescue team uses a 14-foot jon boat for water missions. During our man-overboard drills, several of us have a very hard time getting back into the boat. I've tried rope and metal ladders, but can't find any that work because of the low freeboard and steep angle from the gunnels. The transom isn't an option because we use both an outboard and an electric motor. All the ladders seem to swing beneath the hull when weight is put on the lowest step. Would appreciate some advice.
