2010 Tahoe Q7i Creaking noise on passenger side:

Any of you have a creaking noise under the passenger console? I notice it most when a passenger is sitting on the passenger side cooler up against the passenger side console. I also notice that the kickboard under the passenger console screws into another part of the hull and has some effect on the squeaking but I can’t get it to stop. Any advice? I took it to the dealer under warranty but could not reproduce it on the trailer at that time.

Found the problem. The passenger side floor board was rubbing against the bow seat back (fiberglass on fiberglass making the high pitch creaking noise). I needed something to separate the two pieces so I used one of those flexible kitchen cutting boards (thin plastic) and it worked perfectly. Also contributing was a very long screw that attached the backer board behind the radio to the floor board. I put a shorter screw in. Noise is GONE!
