My brother took off with the keys to the boat. Weather is going to be in upper 70's this weekend so I've got to get on the water.

It's an evinrude 50, are there key codes on the key or on the throttle box itself? I doubt that individual keys are made per each throttle box.

What is the best way to get a new key? Would a dealer have these in stock?

Call your local Evi dealer and give them the number that should be stamped into the key cylinder on your control. See if they have that # in stock. The # is usually stamped on the key cylinder, if not, it is stamped on the key, provided it is an original.

Push start...

So you get out and run behind the boat until the motor catches? I used to do that with my Ford!

Oh, you mean push-button...
