Need feedback on livewell idea.

Howdy all,

I'm trying to free as much room up in my boat as possible. It currently doesn't have any livewells in it right now. So I'm stuck with a big icechest full of ice to put my fish in. I was thinking about making some type of wire cage that I can put overboard in the water to put fish in to keep them alive until I'm ready to head home. I would rather not have a big homemade livewell in the boat taking up room, so was hoping for some feed back on the idea... would the wire cage idea even be legal?

If it maters at all I mainly just fish for cats and sometimes bass.

That would work fine. No different than a stringer.

Yep and the best part is how easy it is to "make"
you only need one part and just enough time to open the package.

Oh yes those floating fish baskets do work well. But there is no fresher fish then alive fish at you front door with a live well in the boat. And if you design your live well in the boat it can double as another seat too. Just a thought...
