1448 welded fisher (tracker grizzly)

Got a new boat and will be in the market for a new motor soon. I'm curious to know if anybody out there has experience with a 20hp 4 stroke on this boat. I'm worried the boat will be too heavy for the 20hp. I mainly fish the Sacramento river with at least one buddy.

on the boat tag,it should say max, HP motor

I'd think that you should be just fine. Stay above 50 to 60% of the listed Max HP and it will be adequate. I used a 9.9 4 stroke on a riveted 1436 hull with 2 people, TM and battery, and had no problems getting on plane.
