1994 ebbtide advice

Hey guys im new here! I recently came across a 1994 ebbtide campione 1900 with a 302 v8 and alpha one outdrive. The guy says the motor was gone through in 2011 and the outdrive was rebuilt in 2013. However, he says when he got it winterized the person who did it said the boat needed valve work done to it. It still runs though. The interior is a little messy, probably needing a few new seat covers. He wants $2000 for it. Do yall think its a good deal?

Hard to say without pictures. "A little messy" could mean it needs cleaned really well ... or it needs to be gutted and rebuilt.

My initial reaction is that it's overpriced, but that's totally knee-jerk based on visions in my head of a half dead engine and a torn up interior. By "still runs" does it get up on plane? Or does that mean it'll start and stay runnin' in the driveway (two totally different things).

Do the floors feel pretty solid? Does it look like it was kept outside, inside and/or covered?
