Re: cobalt R5

I can't say I've been on one but when you're talkng about bowriders you're not going to get much better than Cobalt.

The R5 has 21? of deadrise and weighs In at almost 5000lbs so it ought to ride pretty for a bowrider.

Re: cobalt R5

I traded in my 242 for a new R5. I ordered it at the Spokane boat show in January. Went to the factory in Kansas at the end of April and saw it in production. Awesome tour. I take delivery on Friday but will not get it in the water until it warms up a little. Very similar in layout to the 242 but a full 12" wider inside due to the new hull design and a little longer. I got a full array of options ($$$$). The engine is the new Volvo 380 with EVC which is supposed to have awesome low end torque. Very excited for sure.

I've got a 2014 R5 with big block & bravo3.
Awesome boat, more power than I'll ever need, rides like a dream. I've owned 2 other bowriders, the R5 is in a class of its own.
