its called Non Slip Anti Skid Tape

I also saw something at walmart today

it was a traction pads that was like the rubber traction you see on the bottom of a tennis shoe with peel and stick backing, the tread was a little agresive for my taste but have a look and see if you like it. it was with the trailer stuff where you buy the hitches

it isn't tape it is a sheet.... it covers the whole bow area.... the sea deck works or if you want to google search for vinyl marine flooring
