I just purchased a new to me 2005 Lowe FM 175s, and I am having a heck of a time with the Cabelas ratchet tite cover. I am not at all happy with the fit, and I even ordered the cover a foot longer and a few inches wider to account for the trolling motor and other accessories.

Not sure if there is something that I need to do differently with this cover? or do I try a larger size?

Right now I am leaning towards getting a basic Stearns cover that has the elastic chord sewn into it. I know it might be a little big as it is a somewhat universal fit, but I do have a PVC structure in the boat already (not in the pic) to keep water from pooling. It is not affecting the fit (or lack there of) that you can see in the back of the boat and near the bow...

Thoughts? I don't really plan to trailer with the cover unless I have to. Just trying to keep it dryer and keep stuff out until I can get a portable structure or buy a house with a bigger garage.

The boat is 17'6" with a 92" beam
